Become a Volunteer
ABCD depends on volunteers, particularly in its Mentor program. Most of the Mentors are breast cancer survivors, who provide information and support to people who have been diagnosed with the disease.

Because ABCD believes a breast cancer patient's loved ones need support and encouragement too, we also train men and women who are spouses, partners, children and friends of people who've had breast cancer to be Mentors.

Who can volunteer?
Anyone who has had breast cancer or who has had a close experience with breast cancer can be a Mentor. ABCD recommends that volunteers be one year from the end of treatment before becoming Mentors.

Volunteers are also vital to ABCD in other ways—from stuffing envelopes and staffing special events to planning our annual Celebration of Support fundraiser and writing articles for our quarterly Mentor newsletter.

If you would like to be an ABCD Mentor or volunteer, please contact the ABCD office by Email or print the volunteer information form and mail it to our office.
